I obtained my PhD in Computer Science in 2008 at the University of Paris 8, under the supervision of Pr. Catherine Pelachaud. I wrote a dissertation titled "Multimodal distinctive behavior for expressive embodied conversational agents" about the production of multimodal signals during conversation for Embodied Conversational Agents exhibiting distinctive beahvior.

In 2003 I obtained my Master in Computer Science at the University of Rome "La Sapienza". My master thesis was titled "Analisi e sintesi dei gesti comunicativi per gli agenti conversazionali". In the same year I participated to the EU-project MagiCster whose main goal was the creation of believable embodied conversational agents.
I have been one of the main developers of the ECA system Greta while being a researcher at the University of Rome "La Sapienza" as well as at the University of Paris 8. From 2008 to 2010 I participated to the SAME project working on the analysis of movement expressivity. From 2004 to 2008 I participated to the Humaine NoE project working on a model of expressive behaviors.
